Order PI Cleanup Service as a Reseller

As a Believable Magic Reseller, you can sell and order PI Data Cleanup Service in the following ways: 

Initial Cleanup Service

  1. Reseller sends the Client a proposal naming two components and a total:
    1. Software: MagicTools for PI; price = 90-day license based on customer headcount (e.g. 1-50 headcount = $95).
    2. Service: PI Data Clean Up; price = list price for the Initial Service minus the MagicTools price (e.g. 1-50 headcount $750 – $95 = $655).
    3. Total = list price for the Initial Service (e.g. 1-50 headcount = $750).
  2. Client agrees to receive and pay for the service.
  3. Reseller communicates to Believable Magic in writing (email) that the Client agreed to move forward, providing:
    1. Company Name
    2. Company Headcount
    3. Primary Contact Name
    4. Primary Contact Email Address 
  4. Believable Magic engages with the Client and delivers the service.
    1. Obtains an API Key from the Client.
    2. Obtains Employee Data from the Client.
    3. Activates a MagicTools license on behalf of the customer.
      Note: If the customer wishes to use MagicTools themselves during the included 90-day license period, they may request the license key from Believable Magic.
    4. Performs the data cleanup service with the Client.
  5. After #2, Reseller invoices the Client for the total amount (two items: software and service).
  6. After #3, Believable Magic generates an invoice (two items: software and service) and provides to Reseller.
  7. Reseller collects funds from customer through normal business process.
  8. Reseller keeps the agreed-upon portion and sends a check to Believable Magic for the rest.

Follow-up Cleanup Service

  1. Reseller sends the Client a proposal naming only one component:
    1. Service: PI Data Clean Up; price = list price for the Follow-up Service (e.g. 1-50 headcount = $250).
  2. Client agrees to receive and pay for the service.
  3. Reseller communicates to Believable Magic in writing (email) that the Client agreed to move forward, providing:
    1. Company Name
    2. Company Headcount
    3. Primary Contact Name
    4. Primary Contact Email Address 
  4. Believable Magic engages with the Client and delivers the service.
    1. Obtains an API Key from the Client, if necessary.
    2. Obtains updated Employee Data from the Client.
    3. Performs the data cleanup service with the Client.
  5. After #2, Reseller invoices the Client for the total amount (one items: service).
  6. After #3, Believable Magic generates an invoice (one item: service) and provides to Reseller.
  7. Reseller collects funds from customer through normal business process.
  8. Reseller keeps the agreed-upon portion and sends a check to Believable Magic for the rest.

No, there is no fee associated with becoming or remaining a Reseller.

How do Resellers transact a sale of MagicTools?

A Reseller whose client is ready to buy MagicTools can handle the sale transaction in a couple of different ways. Read the detailed instructions which are summarized here:

Client Pays Reseller Later

  • Reseller fills out an order form on behalf of the client contact using Referral Code or Referral Link, indicating payment by check
  • Believable Magic approves the order within 1 business day
  • Software download link and license key are delivered immediately via email to the registered client contact
  • Reseller bills the client directly using the normal invoicing process for the full list price
  • Client pays Reseller full list price
  • Reseller keeps the agreed-upon reseller portion and sends the remainder in a payment to Believable Magic via check/wire within 30 days

Client Pays Believable Magic Online

  • Reseller provides client with a Referral Code or Referral Link
  • Client purchases MagicTools online using the Referral Code or Referral Link and pays with a card
  • Software download link and license key are delivered immediately via email to the registered contact
  • Believable Magic remits payment to Reseller via check/wire for the reseller portion of the full list price within 30 days

Is there a License Agreement involved with a sale?

When MagicTools – for PI is installed by the customer, the user must accept the End User License Agreement (EULA) prior to continuing the installation process. This acceptance of the EULA during installation is the only required legal agreement.

However, some Resellers and their clients are more comfortable with a agreement document they can review, sign, store, and track in addition to the agreement action required by the installer program. Resellers can optionally download a form-fillable PDF version of the EULA from the Affiliate Dashboard > Affiliate Tools > Creatives section of this website (access to which requires a reseller login) and have the client sign it before the Reseller orders their license. Such signed agreements should be sent to Believable Magic.

Who supports resold customers?

Believable Magic supports resold customers. Resellers are not required to provide any end-user support to their clients who license MagicTools. Resellers are, however, invited to learn MagicTools to recognize the types of needs it can meet and to guide clients in how to meet them.

Clients may obtain support directly from Believable Magic including:

  • Self-service learning using detailed online documentation is the primary form of support.
  • Free email support is available via info@believablemagic.com within two U.S. business days.
  • Free live setup and bug support is provided at no cost by Believable Magic via phone or remote meeting.
  • Paid live training for any other type of assistance is available on a time-and-materials contract basis from Believable Magic.

Can Resellers use MagicTools?

Yes! Any Reseller may request and will receive a 1-year MagicTools license key at no cost. A Reseller’s no-cost license will be extended by 1 year for each client license they sell.

Resellers may use MagicTools to manage their own PI data according to the End User License Agreement (EULA). Free Reseller licenses may not be used for managing data belonging to clients or other organizations.

Can PI Partners use MagicTools to access customer data?

Yes, a PI Partner with customer permission and an API Key giving them access to a customer’s PI data (a hypothetical arrangement that is outside Believable Magic’s scope of knowledge or control) may use MagicTools with that customer data, if that customer is separately licensed for MagicTools. In an arrangement like this, the PI Partner would be functioning as an authorized user under the customer’s MagicTools end-user license agreement.

Note: MagicTools includes support for multiple Profiles that can include different License Keys and API Keys for various PI instance/accounts to which a user has access (this feature arrived with MagicTools version 1.4). 

What relationship exists between Believable Magic and PI Corporate?

Believable Magic is a trusted third-party vendor to which the Predictive Index corporate team occasionally refers clients who need help integrating PI with other systems. A positive working relationship exists between the two companies. Believable Magic is part of the broad PI network of partners and vendors and is included in the network newsletters, communications, webinars, etc. Neither party resells the other’s software. Believable Magic and PI Corporate have not entered into any financial arrangement regarding MagicTools software.

Order MagicTools as a Reseller

As a Believable Magic Reseller, you can sell MagicTools – for PI to your customers through this website in three different ways:

  1. Customer orders and pays using a referral link
  2. Customer orders and pays using a referral code
  3. Reseller orders and collects funds from the customer

Using any of these strategies, both the Reseller and Believable Magic will end up with the agreed-upon portions of the purchase price.

  1. Reseller logs in and accesses their Support > Affiliate Dashboard here on this website.
  2. Reseller views the Affiliate Tools tab and copies the Referral Link
  3. Reseller gives the Referral Link to the customer
  4. Customer follows the Referral Link (this registers their browsing session as a referral from Reseller)
  5. Customer places an order for MagicTools – for PI, paying by Credit Card. (No Coupon Code is required.)
  6. Customer receives an email with the software download link and license key
  7. Believable Magic sends payment to the Reseller according to the terms of our agreement
  8. If the customer wishes to find the download link and license key again, they may log in to this site under Support > My Account
  • Note: If one of your customers processes their own order and they choose “Check Payment”, Believable Magic will contact the Reseller to find out whether they are indeed your customer before we mark their order as paid. Once the order is marked “paid”, the customer will receive the email with the download link and license key.

Option 2: Customer orders and pays using a referral code

  1. Reseller logs in and accesses their Support > Affiliate Dashboard here on this website.
  2. Reseller views the Affiliate Tools tab and copies the Code
  3. Reseller gives the Referral Code to the customer along with a link to the MagicTools – for PI product page
  4. Customer follows the product page link, adds the item to their cart, and proceeds to checkout
  5. Customer clicks on the message inviting them to enter a Referral Code and enters it. (This registers their order as Reseller’s referral)
  6. Customer completes placing their order for MagicTools – for PI, paying by Credit Card. No Coupon Code is required.
  7. Customer receives an email with the software download link and license key
  8. Believable Magic sends payment to the Reseller according to the terms of our agreement
  9. If the customer wishes to find the download link and license key again, they may log in to this site under Support > My Account
  • Note: If one of your customers processes their own order and they choose “Check Payment”, Believable Magic will contact the Reseller to find out whether they are indeed your customer before we mark their order as paid. Once the order is marked “paid”, the customer will receive the email with the download link and license key.

Option 3: Reseller orders and collects funds from the customer

All steps here are taken by the Reseller:

  1. Copy your own Referral Link from your Support > Affiliate Dashboard
  2. Log out of this website from Support > My Account or open a new Incognito window
  3. Go to your own Referral Link – this will identify your browsing session as a credit to your Affiliate account
  4. Click on MagicTools > MagicTools – for PI product page
  5. Choose the license options: company employee headcount and license length
  6. Click Add to Cart
  7. Click View Cart
  8. Click Proceed to Checkout
  9. Fill out the form with your customer’s information including the name of the primary contact, their email address, and their company mailing address. No Coupon Code is required.
  10. Select your payment method
    1. If you intend to collect payment from the customer and pay the Believable Magic portion by mailed check or wire transfer, choose the payment option “Check Payment”
    2. If you intend to pay online with a credit/debit card choose “Credit Card”. Believable Magic will transfer funds for your portion separately.
  11. Check the “I agree” box and click Place Order
  12. The customer will be sent an email containing a download link and their license key as soon as their order is marked as paid:
    1. If you chose “Check Payment”, Believable Magic will be notified of your order via email. If you told us about this customer we will mark your order as paid within one business day. Once marked paid, the email will go out to the customer. Then you can process payment separately to Believable Magic.
    2. If you chose “Credit Card” payment and paid online, the notification email will go to the customer immediately without any further action. We will process payment for the reseller portion according to our agreement.
